Operations Analyst Job Role at Idaho Power
As an Operations Analyst or Senior, you’ll manage Generation Interconnection requests, guiding customers through the process, and addressing any issues that arise.
You’ll ensure adherence to FERC, regional, and state policies and practices regarding generator interconnection applications and represent Idaho Power in customer discussions about the process.
Your expertise in Generation Interconnection processes and contractual implementations will be invaluable.
For those stepping into the Senior Operations Analyst role, you’ll also strategize to meet process needs and obligations, support interconnection-related proceedings and filings, and provide management and legal teams with briefings and recommendations. Establishing business practices to comply with regulatory requirements will be key.

Idaho Power Requirement of an Operations Analyst:
– Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Accounting, Engineering, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
– At least 3 years of experience in relevant fields such as real-time grid operations or data analysis.
Requirement For Senior Operations Analyst:
– Similar educational requirements as the Operations Analyst.
– A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.
Both roles require:
– Knowledge of data analysis methodologies and transmission operations.
– Skills in communication, customer relations, and procedure development.
– The ability to manage multiple projects and tasks.
