2024 Global Health Research Seed Funding Grant (up to $25,000)
Global Health Seed Grants
Are you interested in conducting research that can improve the health of people around the world? Do you have an innovative idea that can address the challenges of global health, especially in low- and middle-income countries (LMICs)?
If yes, then you might be eligible for the 2024 Global Health Research Seed Funding Grant!
Benefits of Global Health Grant:
This grant is a competitive opportunity that offers up to $25,000 to support the development of novel and feasible research projects that focus on global health issues.
The grant aims to encourage researchers to pursue their own original ideas and to generate preliminary data that can lead to larger and longer-term funding from the National Institutes of Health (NIH) or other sources.
The grant is open to researchers from various disciplines and backgrounds, as long as their proposed projects are relevant to global health.
Global health research is a broad and interdisciplinary field that encompasses the study of health problems and solutions that affect populations across the world, especially those in LMICs. Some examples of global health research topics are:
- Telemedicine: the use of information and communication technologies to deliver health care services remotely, such as planning radiotherapy treatments or using artificial intelligence to predict cancer outcomes from screening data.
- Low-cost technologies: the development and evaluation of affordable and accessible devices and methods for diagnosis and treatment of diseases, such as automatic contouring of clinical targets for clinical trials.
- Global health research resources: the utilization and integration of existing data, tools, and platforms that facilitate global health research, such as open source software from the AAPM GRSIC or international clinical trial data.
These are just some of the possible areas of global health research that you can explore with this grant. You are welcome to propose any other topic that is relevant and important for global health, as long as you can justify its significance and feasibility.
