The University of Chicago Orland Park Scholarship is a fully-funded scholarship program that is open to students who wish to pursue undergraduate studies at the University of Chicago’s Orland Park campus.
To be eligible for this scholarship, you must meet the following requirements:
- You must be a high school senior or a transfer student.
- You must have a minimum GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale.
- You must demonstrate financial need.
- You must be a resident of Orland Park, Illinois.

Merit-Based Awards for Students
Students are automatically eligible for merit-based awards at our university. These awards don’t require a separate application and are available to all students, not based on their financial status. We select students for these scholarships based on their academic excellence, involvement in extracurricular activities, leadership skills, and community engagement.
The university is excited to offer various scholarships, each with its unique support features:
- University Award: Exceptional students receive this scholarship to cover a portion of their tuition for four years.
- First Phoenix Award: Students who are the first in their family to attend college receive a $20,000 scholarship spread over four years.
- Police and Fire Award: Children of active, professional, or fallen police and firefighters get up to full tuition coverage for four years.
- Odyssey Scholarship: An anonymous donor, “Homer,” along with alumni and friends of the university, fund this program. It supports students from less privileged backgrounds or those who are the first in their family to attend college, providing them with academic, social, and career guidance.
- Neubauer Adelante Family Programs: These programs offer additional financial aid to students involved in Hispanic/Latino communities.
- UChicago Promise: Aimed at students from the Chicagoland area, this initiative provides financial assistance and other resources.
- Chicago Public Schools Graduates: Selected graduates receive up to full-tuition scholarships for four years.
- Chicago Public Schools Educators’ Students: Children of active full-time CPS teachers and staff are eligible for up to full-tuition scholarships for four years.
- Partner Schools: Students from specific schools in our community, including the University of Chicago Charter School Woodlawn Campus, Nicholas Senn High School, Providence St. Mel School, and Kenwood Academy High School, can receive up to full tuition for four years.
- City Colleges of Chicago: Graduates from the City Colleges of Chicago (CCC) Star Program are eligible for first-year tuition scholarships.
- Evans Scholarship: This program offers full housing and tuition scholarships to caddies who show promise.
- Trott Scholar: Students from rural areas can receive this four-year scholarship.
Veterans Scholarships at the University of Chicago
The university of Chicago is part of the Yellow Ribbon Program, supporting veterans. They also offer internship awards for outstanding achievement, including:
- Provost’s Scholar: A total of $37,500 over four years, including $6,000 for summer research at Argonne Laboratories, Fermi Laboratories, or the Marine Biological Laboratory. It also includes $1,500 for travel to academic conferences.
- President’s Scholar: $5,000 for a special summer research project, internship, or graduate coursework over two summers. Dean’s Scholar: $5,000 for a summer research project, internship, or graduate coursework.
- Meriam Scholar: $5,000 for a summer social sciences research project after the first year. Fermi Scholar: $5,000 for a summer physical sciences research project after the first year.
