Maastricht University (UM) offers several scholarships to support top-performing undergraduate and graduate students with personal development potential who are experiencing financial difficulties to pursue a degree at UM. UM scholarship students function as important ambassadors of the university during and after their studies.

Maastricht University Application Fee

Applicants who received their previous education in a non-EU/EEA country need to pay a handling fee of € 100 (excl. bank costs) at the start of the application process for all UM bachelor, master and bridging programmes. Scholarship Eligibility

To be eligible for the scholarship, applicants must meet the following criteria:

• Be nationals of a country outside the EU/EEA.
• Meet the specific requirements of the UM Master’s programme to which they have applied.
• Have been admitted to a Master’s programme at UM.
• Have attained a minimum of 2:1 (or equivalent) at undergraduate level.

Maastricht University Scholarship Requirement

Applicants must have attained a minimum of 2:1 (or equivalent) at undergraduate level to be eligible to apply. Applicants must also meet the specific requirements of the UM Master’s programme to which they have applied.

Maastricht University Scholarship Benefit

The scholarship covers the following expenses:

• Full overseas tuition fees.
• An annual allowance of €16,008 to cover tuition and € 23,750 for living expenses for the normal duration of the programme at UCL.
• A flight to/from the UK.
• UK Study Visa costs.
• English language assessment costs.
• Health test costs.
• The NHS Immigration Health Supplement charge.

How to apply

To apply for the scholarship, applicants must follow these steps:

1. Apply for a Master’s programme at UM.
2. Verify if your nationality is eligible for the scholarship.
3. Verify whether your study programme is participating in the scholarship.
4. Ensure that if the scholarship covers only the tuition fees, you are able to finance your own living expenses (rent, food and insurances) for the complete duration of your studies.
5. Submit a completed scholarship application form, transcripts, test scores, and a personal statement.

Maastricht University UM Offers Several Scholarships for International Students

Maastricht University (UM) offers several scholarships to support top-performing undergraduate and graduate students with personal development potential who are experiencing financial difficulties to pursue a degree at UM. Maastricht University Undergraduate Scholarship

Maastricht University offers scholarships to international Bachelor’s and Master’s students. The scholarships include a monthly allowance, health insurance, and a contribution to the cost of tuition. Maastricht University NL-High Potential Scholarship

For highly talented students outside the European Union (EU) who have been admitted to a master’s program at UM, the Maastricht University (UM) NL-High Potential Scholarship program offers 24 full scholarships of €30,000 each academic year (including tuition fee waivers and monthly stipends).

High Potential Scholarships (funded by the Maastricht University Scholarship Fund) and NL Scholarships (funded by the Dutch Ministry of Education, Culture and Science in collaboration with Dutch universities and universities of applied sciences) are both included in the Scholarship program.

UM Brightlands Talent Scholarship

The UM Brightlands Talent Scholarship is a scholarship programme that offers financial support to students who wish to pursue a Master’s degree at UM.
