The Governor of Akwa Ibom State, His Excellency, Pastor Umo Eno, has approved the payment of bursaries to all students from Akwa Ibom State enrolled in public tertiary institutions. The scholarship payments are for the current academic session (2023/2024).
Eligibility for Akwa Ibom State Scholarship
Candidates interested in this scholarship must fulfill the following requirements:
- Must be a native of Akwa Ibom State.
- Must be currently enrolled in an accredited academic institution.
- Undergraduate applicants should have a minimum CGPA of 2.1, while postgraduate applicants need a minimum of 3.0.
- Must demonstrate a need for financial support.

Applicants must have a valid student registration number, student ID card, admission letter, state of origin, last school fee receipt, and passport photo.

To apply for the bursary, applicants must follow these steps:
- Visit the Akwa Ibom State Bursary Portal.
- Register by completing the registration form to create an account.
- Login to complete your details and upload your student registration number, student ID card, admission letter, state of origin, last school fee receipt, and passport photo.
The application deadline is midnight, 30th April 2024. All payments will be paid to a valid bank account. The bank account name must match the name on the applicant’s school documents.
